MBA Facility Booking – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website https://bookings.mba.org.mv (“Facility Booking Portal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) for booking sports facilities managed by the Maldives Basketball Association.
1.2 The Facility Booking Portal is operated by the Maldives Basketball Association (Registration No. 141/NSA/CERT/2017/4), registered at the Office of the Commissioner of Sports in the Republic of Maldives.
2. Eligibility
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to book facilities.
2.2 You must provide accurate and complete information when registering or making a booking.
3. Booking Fees and Payment
3.1 The fee for each facility booking is displayed on the booking page and is inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Payments are processed securely through our authorized payment gateway partners. Accepted payment methods will be displayed at checkout.
3.3 All payments are final at the time of booking unless otherwise stated in the Refund Policy (Section 7).
4. Booking Process and Confirmation
4.1 Bookings are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis and only after successful payment.
4.2 After successful payment, your booking confirmation will be delivered via SMS and/or email to the contact details provided.
4.3 You are responsible for verifying the booking details immediately upon receiving the confirmation.
4.4 A valid booking reference must be presented upon arrival at the facility.
5. Use of Facilities
5.1 Facilities may only be used for the purpose specified during booking.
5.2 Bookings are non-transferable unless approved in writing. Resale is strictly prohibited.
5.3 You must adhere to all posted facility rules, safety regulations, and instructions from authorized staff.
5.4 Any damage to property or equipment caused by misuse may result in penalties or additional charges.
Facility Rules
- Do not enter with wet or muddy shoes. Please dust your shoes before entering the facility.
- Only non-marking shoes are permitted on the court. Dark-soled running shoes, spiked shoes, or any footwear that may mark or damage the floor are strictly prohibited.
- Weights are not permitted inside the court.
- Do not incorporate beams or columns into your training activities.
- No food or drinks are allowed within the court area.
- Please dispose of all garbage in the designated dustbins.
- Chewing gum or spitting is prohibited on the court.
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, or Changes
6.1 If a facility becomes unavailable due to maintenance, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, we may cancel or reschedule your booking.
6.2 If your booking is cancelled and not rescheduled, you will be entitled to a full refund.
6.3 Changes to availability, operating hours, or staffing do not qualify for a refund.
6.4 We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred (travel, equipment rental, etc.).
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Apart from cancellations initiated by us, all bookings are final and non-refundable.
7.2 Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14–30 business days.
7.3 No refunds will be issued for no-shows, late arrivals, or violation of facility rules.
8. Prohibited Conduct
- Reselling or attempting to resell bookings
- Using bots or automated systems to make bookings
- Damaging or misusing facilities or equipment
- Attempting to defraud the system or other users
- Using the website for unlawful purposes
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by Maldivian law, the Facility Booking Portal is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9.2 Total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the booking.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Facility Booking Portal is owned by us or our licensors and may not be reproduced or used without permission.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
11.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives.
11.2 Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Malé, Maldives.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Facility Booking Portal indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
